Cary Fellman has done an excellent job as Jade Ring Contest Chair. I'm sure you join me in giving her a big THANK YOU. She is ready to pass the baton to someone else. If you have an interest in serving the WRWA in this important position, please contact me. Some of the duties involved include: being responsible for submitting the appropriate information to the Newsletter Editor and the Web Master in a timely manner; contacting and recruiting a judge for each category; receiving, sorting, labeling, and mailing the entries to the judges; receiving the entries back from the judges; notifying the winners, and presenting the winners their awards at the Fall Conference.

Note the information that I included in this Newsletter concerning the Poet Laureate endowment. Please include the amount you contributed on the copy you send to me, but be assured it will go no further.

I'm looking for members to form a committee that will be responsible for highlighting members on the Spotlight on Members page of our Website.

Nate Scholze has arranged for us to appear on Larry Meiller's Program (Wisconsin Public Radio - Madison) on September 17 at 11:00 A.M. This is an excellent opportunity to publicize WRWA.
