Book Reviews Wanted

We welcome short, pithy, reviews of members' books. Please include the title, author, reference to a Web page, if you have it, and where the book may be bought. Keep the review short. Since we are reviewing members' books, negative reviews won't be printed. No reviews by authors, please. Submit to the Editor.

ATTENTION "SNOW BIRDS"
AND OTHER TEMPORARILY “AWAYS”

We need to be sure you won't miss getting the WRWA newsletter when you head South (or in some other direction) for the winter and leave the rest of us to shovel snow. Because the newsletter is bulk-mailed, the Post Office will not forward it. Please send your temporary away address to Robin Butler, membership chair, at and note the usual duration of your enjoyable absence from the rest of us, e.g. "Oct 1–May 1" etc. Even if you sent that information last year, please send it again. My record-keeping system has changed and a repeat of your alternate address will provide a check. Thanks for your help in keeping the WRWA membership records current and correct.

Call For Email addresses

All WRWA members who use e-mail please send your e-mail addresses to Robin Butler, Membership Secretary, at   It will be used only to contact you on WRWA business and will not be shared outside of WRWA.

Bring in New WRWA Members

WRWA members are strongly urged to recruit new members for the Association. As of the publication of this newsletter, we have slightly fewer than 420 members. Membership renewals only slightly outpace new memberships. Thus, we are growing, but very slowly. At its meeting on January 13th of this year, the Board of Directors added new membership categories for families, individual students, and a special student class membership. WRWA is looking for writers from high schools and post-high school campuses as well as adult members. Everyone in the WRWA should take an active role in recruiting new members. The more active members we have, the better programs we can bring to the membership. Get out there and RECRUIT!

WRWA Annual Membership Rate Structure
Regular individual membership $25.00
Family, two people, one address $35.00
Family, four people, one address $40.00
Student, individual membership $12.50
Student, classroom membership $25.00
(One student may represent the class at WRWA conferences)
