Tata Consumer Products launches Himalayan bottled water in UK

NEW DELHI: Tata Consumer Products (TCP) announced on Tuesday that its Himalayan brand of bottled water is now available in the UK.

The UK launch is part of the company’s strategy to leverage its brands in all markets and maximize the brand’s potential, the company said in a statement. This is the first water brand launched by Tata Consumer Products in the UK. The brand will initially be available only online and distribution will be gradually expanded, he added.

True, Tata Consumer Products already sells a large portfolio of drinks in the UK such as Good Earth and Teapigs, a premium tea brand. In 2000, she acquired the famous British tea brand Tetley. Tetley is the second largest tea brand in the world.

Tata Consumer has also launched global products in the Indian market. It recently announced the launch of the American brand Eight O’Clock Coffee in India as a direct-to-consumer brand, in line with more premium coffee and tea products that it is lining up as first Internet brands.

Globally, companies are seeing accelerating trends in health and wellness coupled with growing consumer awareness of how products are purchased and packaged, the company said.
